    Proof Approval Requested On Free Engravings:

    • We do NOT provide a proof on free engravings unless specifically requested. To do this you must request one by putting "PROOF REQUESTED" in the 'Personalization' instructions form field, located on the product ordering page, when placing your order (see image below for example in green highlighted area).

    • Attention to Punctuation and Spelling: It is essential that you provide the exact punctuation, including the correct use of apostrophes, and spelling as you wish it to appear on your item. We will replicate the text exactly as provided in your order, so please double-check your entries for accuracy. Understanding the proper use of apostrophes and spelling is crucial, as these details will impact the final appearance and personalization of your product.

    • Apostrophes Are The Biggest Mistake: Apostrophes are commonly used to indicate possession (e.g., "Charlene Katzenback's Home") but should not be used to form plurals, such as "The Katzenbacks." For family names on products, an apostrophe should only be used to denote possession. For instance, "The YOURLASTNAME Family" does not require an apostrophe unless specifying ownership (e.g., "The YOURLASTNAME’s Boat"). Incorrect use of apostrophes or spelling errors can lead to unintended meanings or presentations on your custom product. If you are unsure about how to format your text, consider carefully how it should read and appear to ensure it accurately reflects your intended message.

    • The sizes of the engravings are clearly indicated on the product page. Please ensure you are aware of the size specifications for our free engraving options before placing your order. Roots To Table provides clear measurements for each engraving option to avoid any surprises. If the engraving size does not meet your expectations, it is crucial to note that we provide these dimensions upfront for your convenience. Should you require a different size, we encourage you to opt for a custom engraving. By doing so, you can specify your size preferences to ensure the final product meets your exact needs.

    • Once we send the requested proof via email, you will have 24 hours to review and approve it. It is crucial that you check your email promptly, including your spam folder, as emails can occasionally be redirected there by mistake.

    • After 24 hours, if no response is received, the proof will be automatically approved, and we will proceed with the order as submitted. It is your responsibility as the customer to ensure that you check and approve the proof within the provided timeframe.

    • Free Engraving Limitations: Our free engraving options permit changes only to the text highlighted in red on the engraving image. The font and size of the engravings are preset and cannot be altered under the free engraving service. If you wish to customize beyond changing the red-highlighted text—such as altering the font, size, or adding images—this qualifies as a custom engraving, and additional fees will apply.

    • Proof Approval and Inventory Management: If we do not receive a response within the designated 24-hour timeframe after sending a proof, we will proceed with processing your order as-is. Prompt response is crucial, as we cannot hold products out of inventory for extended periods. We value and appreciate our customers, but the limited nature of our handmade products does not afford us the luxury of excess inventory.

    Proofs for Custom Engravings:

    When you choose a custom engraving, a proof will automatically be sent to you as part of the process.

    • Modifications: You are entitled to up to three modifications free of charge. Any additional changes will incur a fee.
    • Approval Requirement: Approval of the proof is necessary to proceed with your custom engraving. If we do not receive your approval, we may have to cancel your order.

    • Production Initiation: Once a proof is approved, or if no proof is required, your engraving will enter production.

    • Notification of Completion: We will notify you once your order is complete and ready for shipment.

    Roots To Table Cancellation Policy:

    We understand that plans can change. However, due to the custom nature of many of our products, which often begin production shortly after an order is placed, we are unable to accept cancellations once the product has been completed.

    • Timing is Crucial: If you need to cancel or make changes to your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once the engraving process has started, the order becomes non-cancelable.
