What’s Covered

We build our products to last, and we want you to feel 100% confident in your purchase. That’s why we offer a lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship.

Cracking, splitting, or structural failures caused by faulty materials or workmanship.
Defects that occur during normal household use.
Coverage applies to the original purchaser or the person who registered the warranty if it was given as a gift.

If your board develops one of these defects, we’ll repair or replace it at no cost to you.

“Lifetime” refers to the expected usable life of the product under normal household use by the original purchaser.

What’s Not Covered

Wood is natural and unique. Each piece requires care and respect. This warranty does not cover:

Improper Care & Maintenance

Dishwasher use or soaking in water.
Storing in extremely dry, humid, or high-heat environments.
Neglecting regular oiling or conditioning when applicable.
Using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Extreme Conditions

Exposure to temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 40°C (104°F).

Normal Wear & Tear

Knife marks, scratches, dents, or minor wood movement from everyday use.
Natural color changes or shifts in grain.

Misuse or Abuse

Using the board as a hot pad, hammer, or near open flames.
Leaving the board outdoors or in direct sunlight.
Neglect or intentional damage.

Unauthorized Alterations

Sanding, reshaping, refinishing, or modifying the board by anyone other than Roots To Table.

Acts of God / Unusual Circumstances

Fire, flooding, or natural disasters.

Excluded Products

Cards and pegs in crib board sets are not covered by warranty.
Board butter and other maintenance products are not covered by warranty.
Hardware components of our cheese wire cutters, including wire, tension arms, and screws, are not covered under this warranty.

If Your Item Was a Gift

We know most of our products are given as gifts, and that’s why we offer optional warranty registration for the recipient.

If the item was registered: Please contact us using the email address or phone number used during registration so we can verify ownership.
If the item was not registered: We’ll require a receipt or order number from the original purchase as proof of warranty coverage.

This system helps us protect your coverage and process claims quickly and fairly.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

We aim to make this process simple and fair:

Document the issue.Take clear photos or a short video of the defect or damage.
Provide proof of purchase or registration.Contact us using the email address used to register the warranty. If it was not registered, include your receipt or order number.
Email us.Send everything to care@rootstotable.com along with a description of the issue.
Next steps.We’ll respond within 3 business days. If the claim is valid, we’ll arrange for a repair, replacement, or other appropriate resolution.

Hand Wash Only: Use warm, soapy water and dry immediately.
No Dishwashers or Soaking: Moisture and heat will warp and damage the wood.
Oil or Wax Regularly: Use food-safe mineral oil or wax monthly, or as needed.
Store Smart: Avoid extreme heat, humidity, or storing before the board is fully dry.
