The board itself is utilitarian in that it isn't so fancy that I don't want to use it, but beautiful in its construction and simplicity. It's solid and stout, so it doesn't wiggle around when you're chopping/cutting. The juice groove is a thoughtful addition, and the handles make it easy to maneuver.
