Thanks to the strong presence of Irish immigrants and their descendants in North America, St. Patty's Day has blossomed into an exuberant celebration of all things Irish. Beyond the sweeping sea of green on the streets, the legacy of Ireland as the land of Saints and Scholars thrives, offering a treasure trove of traditions and flavors for us to explore.
Our Personal Connection To Ireland

Both Jason and I share a connection with Ireland, not just through Irish ancestry but a previous business venture that brought us to Dublin in 2016. This adventure allowed us to immerse ourselves in Ireland's breathtaking landscapes and rich culinary heritage. From the verdant fields to the dramatic cliffs and the warmth of traditional pubs (like the one in the image below), we discovered the soul of Ireland—one pint of Guinness at a time.
IMAGE: Stepping into this Dublin pub felt like a journey back in time, where the warm glow of candles lit the room, their wax painting history across the mantle. This Irish pub, with its laughter, stories, and clinking glasses, quickly stole our hearts.
We would return with our daughter Jill and nephew Cody in 2018. This time we explored Northern Ireland some more traditional sights like, the Titanic Corner in Belfast, The Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a Rede and the Dark Hedges ( a scene from Game of Thrones). Probably the most enjoyable visit though were the days we spent with our Irish friends Elaine and Walt (seen in the below picture with Jason, our daughter Jill and nephew Cody). They embraced our kids like their own, introduced us to authentic Irish cuisine and brought us off the beaten path to explore more of Ireland's hidden gems.
Falling in Love with Irish Cuisine
The profound depth and comforting warmth of Irish cuisine truly amazed us. Each meal, whether in a cozy pub or a bustling city eatery, was a warm embrace, deeply touching our souls. The robust Irish brown soda bread, the savory Guinness stew, the comforting shepherd's pie, and the tender lamb with mint jelly were not just meals but profound experiences, each telling a story of tradition and warmth from the heart of Ireland.

Inspired by our journey and with St. Patrick's Day upon us, we aimed to bring a piece of Ireland to our celebrations.
